From a young age, Dr. Chen knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and work to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. With this goal in mind, and to experience weather, she left sunny California to complete her undergraduate degree in Raleigh, North Carolina. Immediately following graduation, she moved back to the west coast to obtain her veterinary degree at Arizona’s first veterinary school, Midwestern University.
Upon graduation, Dr. Chen pursued a small animal rotating internship at a multi-speciality hospital before working in private practice, emergency medicine, and exotic animal exclusive private practices. She has recently completed her acupuncture certification through Chi University to help provide the most rounded and balanced care for furry-, feathered-, or scaly-kids.
When she is not training for her next triathlon or taking care of her furry and scaly zoo, Dr. Chen enjoys going on adventures with her family, rock climbing, and reading.
