Not all pet emergencies are dramatic or obvious—some can start with subtle changes in behavior or appearance. If your pet hasn’t eaten or drunk water in over 24 hours, is sleeping more than usual, or seems disoriented and confused, they may need urgent veterinary attention. Additional warning signs include pale or bright red gums, heavy panting, shaking, difficulty urinating, or red/swollen eyes. When in doubt, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and contact us right away.
