Locally Owned, Compassionate Care

Animal Ark Animal Hospital is an independently owned, community-focused hospital offering an inviting and comfortable environment.

We want your visit to Animal Ark Animal Hospital to be the best veterinary experience you’ve ever had. We’re all animal lovers here, and we work hard to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable environment for you and your pet.

When you check in with our front desk, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly and courteous team members. A member of our medical staff will then meet you in the lobby and bring you to an examination room where we’ll ask a few questions and measure your pet’s vital signs – just like when you go for a visit to your doctor. The doctor will spend time talking with you to address your concerns, recommend additional diagnostic testing if needed, and create your pet’s individual care plan.

If additional testing is needed, Animal Ark Animal Hospital is a modern facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and an in-house laboratory, so most tests can be performed here.

PLEASE NOTE: All animals are subject to be scanned for a microchip and if such microchip is noted, the registry company may be contacted.

Our Policies and Procedures

New Client Scheduling

To prepare for your new patient appointment, our team will need your pet’s records at least 24 hours in advance. We will review your pet’s medical history, vaccination due dates, and medications. Please provide the name of your previous veterinary hospital and a phone number or email so we may contact them ahead of your appointment. IF you have your pet’s records, email them to reception@aaahtn.com. IF we DO NOT receive the records at least 24 hours prior to the appointment, we will have to cancel the appointment and contact you to reschedule it.

If you are unable to keep your pet’s appointment, notify us by phone at least 24 BUSINESS hours in advance to reschedule and allow us to help another patient in need. If you miss your pet’s appointment, you will be charged the base exam fee and you will be required to prepay for the appointment to be rescheduled. This is a one time prepaid exam fee. Once you keep this appointment, you may schedule future exams without advance payment. If you miss this prepaid appointment, you will forfeit the exam fee. In the case in which the client has made a deposit for a surgical/dental/ultrasound procedure, the client will forfeit that deposit but will not be assessed an additional NO SHOW fee.

In general, we work on 20 minute appointments. In order to be respectful of other clients/patients, if you will be more than 10 minutes late to an appointment, the appointment may require rescheduling. Please call to alert us to your expected time of arrival. We will try to work your pet into the schedule that day but this cannot be guaranteed. In some circumstances you may be able to drop your pet off for services in which your pet will be “worked in” between other appointments. This will incur a day boarding fee. In cases in which there are no available times that day to see your pet, you will be charged for the base exam fee and we will require you to reschedule and prepay for the future exam.

Per the American Veterinary Medical Association, a veterinarian-client-patient-relationship (VCPR) exists when the veterinarian knows the pet well enough to be able to diagnose and treat any medical conditions the animal develops. By law we must establish a VCPR to provide medical care for your pet. This is defined by one of our veterinarians physically examining your pet within the last 365 days. Requests for prescriptions, foods or medical advice cannot be granted without a current VCPR. In order to refill medications or foods, we ask that you give us no less than 24 business hours.

In order to service the needs of all of our patients, we request that should you need to cancel your pet’s appointment, you do so at least 24 BUSINESS hours prior to the appointment so that we may be able to help other patients in their time of need. If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours prior, you will be charged the base exam fee for the appointment. In the case in which the client has made a deposit for a surgical/dental/ultrasound procedure, the client will forfeit that deposit but will not be assessed an additional cancellation fee.
